Dr. Ashok Natarajan

Professor - Finance & Accounts

Dr. Ashok Natarajan joined RSB as a Professor in the Finance and Accounting Area in July 2018, after stints at the Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai, and earlier in the USA , at California State University, Pomona, the Anderson School at UCLA, and at the University of California at Irvine. He obtained a Ph.D. degree in Management from the University of California, Irvine, and an M.S. in Accounting from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He is also a PGDM from the IIM, Calcutta, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Madras Christian College, where he was also the holder of the National Science Talent Scholarship in Mathematics, awarded by the NCERT.

His primary research interests are in corporate governance, accounting and finance, and his research has been published in leading Accounting, Strategy, and Finance journals. He has two A* articles, as denoted by ABDC, to his credit, that were also published in journals on the FT50 list. His teaching portfolio is extensive, including courses at all levels in the U.S. and in India. Before entering academics, he worked as a management accountant at ITC Ltd., and as the Computer & Networks Services Manager at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. In addition, he has also consulted on a number of Mergers and Acquisition projects, as well as on other Corporate Valuation services.

Prof.Gautam Ghosh

Professor-Marketing & Strategy

Prof. Gautam Ghosh is an Electronic Engineer (B.Tech) from IIT Kanpur, and a Management Graduate (PGDM) from IIM Calcutta, with distinguished academic record. Prof. Ghosh brings with him a blend of industry and academic experience. He has over 25 years' industry experience in Marketing, General Management and Strategic Planning with MNCs and professionally managed Indian companies such as Alstom, Grindwell Norton, (now a part of the St. Gobain Group), DLF Universal, BOC India, (now Linde India), and Hutch Telecom, (now Vodafone).

He later transitioned to management education, and since the last over 16 years he has been associated with B-schools in the South and East both as Professor and Director/Dean. He teaches Marketing, Strategic Management, Retailing and Business Communications. He has also been a visiting faculty at IIM Calcutta, IIM Kashipur, XLRI Jamshedpur, IIFT Kolkata and the Vinod Gupta School of Management of IIT Kharagpur. He has conducted many in-company and cross-company management development programmes and workshops across the country, including for the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), as well as consulted for many companies.



Dr. Srikanth Parthasarathy

Associate Professor-Finance & Accounts

A passionate teacher, a PhD from Madras University, an alumnus of BIM, Trichy, an associate member of Institution of Engineers (India) and an alumnus of Loyola College, Chennai, Dr Srikanth Parthasarathy is an Associate Professor in the area of Finance.He was working as Assistant Professor, Finance in BIM, Trichy from 2011 to 2017. He has 19 years of experience in Industry, Finance, Academics and Research. His research interest includes market efficiency, financial markets, behavioral finance and corporate finance. He has presented and published research papers at the national and International levels. His teaching interests include Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Security and Portfolio Management, Financial Accounting, Behavioral Finance, Indirect Taxation and Philosophy.

He has engaged in developing academic processes, course curriculum, student mentoring, nurturing student initiatives and academic administration. He conducts training programs for managers and executives of a number of organizations including BHEL, TAPE, Ashok Leyland, Sundaram Clayton etc.

Dr. Badri Toppur

Associate Professor - Operations Management

Dr. Badri Toppur came back to India after his PhD from University of Massachusetts in 2002 to take up teaching and research assignments, and has been teaching at some leading business schools in the country before joining RSB as an Associate Professor and Head of the Centre of Excellence - Business Analytics. His areas of interest are Quantitative Techniques, Decision Analysis, Operations Research, Business Analytics and Computer Simulation. He has jointly conducted Executive Development Programs for leading companies like HP and Oracle.

Dr. Toppur’s bachelor degree was in Mathematics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and his M.S. was in Computational Mathematics and Operations Research, from Clemson University, South Carolina, USA. In the year 2002 he was awarded a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operational Research, on the area of heuristics for network design. He has also done his MBA in Global Energy from Bauer College, University of Houston, USA.

Dr. Merlin Mythili

Associate Professor - Organizational Behavior & Human Resource

Dr. Merlin Mythili has a Ph.D in Management from Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal and has done her MBA from Madras University along with Postgraduate degrees in English (Madras University) and Human Rights (Pondicherry University).

Dr. Merlin Mythili has a decade of academic and research experience having last worked as Assistant Professor and Associate Dean (Academics) in a leading Business School in New Delhi. She has been on a faculty exchange programme at the School of Management, University of Bradford, UK and has taught in their offshore Undergraduate Degree Programmes in India.

Dr. Merlin’s teaching and research interests include Organisational Culture, Communication at workplace and Gender issues in Management. She has presented and published research papers at the national and international levels.

Dr.Tanusree Chakraborty

Associate Professor - Organizational Behavior & Human Resource

Dr.Chakraborty is an Associate Professor in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource area, with Ph.D in Applied Psychology, M.A. (Applied Psychology), MBA (HR), PGDHRM, B.A. (Psychology). Dr. Chakraborty is a Psychologist and is interested in the area of understanding human behaviour. Dr. Chakraborty has been associated with the academic industry for the past 14 years. Prior to joining Rajalakshmi School of Business, she has worked with Presidency University, Bangalore as an Associate Professor. Previously she was working as a faculty and Dean PGDM programme at Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai. A University rank holder throughout, Dr. Chakraborty was an ex-research fellow with Indian Council of Medical Research. She has hands on experience in coaching and counseling too.

As a Trainer, Dr. Chakraborty has facilitated approx. 100 sessions for both public and private sector organizations in the areas of Behavioural Science and Psychometric Testing. She has a number of publications in leading Scopus and ABDC indexed National and International journals. She has presented around 45 of her research papers in national and international conferences of repute. She has also handled pre-placement training of students, held the portfolio of Chairperson-Placements and Corporate Relations, Chairperson-Soft-Skills Training, organized seminars and conferences, headed student driven clubs, been editor of Journals and Newsletters of institutes she has worked for.

Dr. Anish Yousaf

Assistant Professor - Marketing

Dr. Anish Yousaf is working as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Rajalakshmi School of Business. He has more than four years of teaching experience at Post-Graduate and Ph.D level. His research interests include Customer-Based Brand Equity Assessment and Brand Building Process especially for spectator sports and sport teams, sports sponsorship, and sports marketing.

Dr. Yousaf has presented his research work in 2016 Winter American Marketing Association (AMA), 2016 Academy of Marketing Science (AMS) and reputed international conferences organized at global level by IIM's, HT's and Academy of Indian Marketing. Dr. Yousaf has published 02 books and 17 research papers in International Journals of repute (B & C category as per ABDC list) published by SAGE, EMERALD, INDERSCIENCE, PROQUEST, and others. Dr. Yousaf has also written six case studies published by Case Centre (United Kingdom). For his dedication & commitment, he was awarded the Young Researchers Award by a leading Indian university in 2016.

Apart from academics & research, he believes in maintaining a balanced and healthy life and is a fitness freak who works out daily. He is also a biker and has started the first biking club at RSB with an aim of taking the PGDM students closer to the nature and breaking away from the daily routine.

Dr. Dindayal Swain

Visiting Professor - Marketing

Dr. Swain has two decades of experience in corporate as well as academics. He is a serious and passionate academician having varied interests in the field of Branding, Marketing Strategy, Neuroscience & IMC, Services Marketing, Selling & Negotiation. He has worked for reputed organizations like Tata BP Lubricants India Ltd and Flagship Company Parle India Limited. Beyond corporate experience, as a Professor of Marketing, he has taught in top business schools in the country like International Management Institute (IMI) as a Professor of Marketing and IMIS for one and half decades. He is a IVEY trained faculty in Case Method of Teaching. He has been invited to the conferences at University of Nevada, Harvard University, Kingston University London, Adger University, Norway, Oxford University, NUS Singapore, and many more universities from various countries.

He is in the Editorial Board of 30 reputed International Journals of the World. He has Chaired and delivered Key Note address in 30 sessions in National & International Conferences. He is in the Conference Advisory Committee of 25 reputed conferences in the world as advisory body member. As a Motivational Speaker he has the distinction of training 10,000 corporate executives from Public Sector, Private Sector, MNC’s and 6000 students as well. He has already conducted 1300 training programs and motivational talks.

Dr. Saikat Sen

Visiting Professor - General Management

With over two decades of experience in the corporate as well as in the Academic Business Management, Dr. Sen is now on a deeper mission of life, utilizing his knowledge and skills in urging corporate leaders towards a conscious integral approach in management.

Dr. Sen’s areas of interest lie in corporate human management, including leadership, motivation, change management, human resource development, organisation development and value-based management. However, the realms that have his interest rooted are spirituality and management or ‘Illumined Leadership’ as he would refer to it. He has made numerous presentations and deliberations at national and international conferences and conducted corporate and B-school workshops on several aspects of ‘Management by Consciousness’—inspiring intrigue and interest amongst the audience on the subject.

Prof. Satish Tampi

Visiting Professor - Marketing

Prof. Satish Tampi is a senior leadership professional with a background spanning over three decades across India and the Middle East and in his last corporate assignment, he was the Head of Operations - Continental Insurance Brokers, UAE. He is a Qualified Engineer and PGDM from IIM Ahmedabad. with a proven track record in people management; process and change management; Information technology business development and project implementation; operations, business development; sales, marketing and product management.

Prof. P.V. Hariharan

Visiting Professor - Marketing

An M. Sc. from IIT, Madras and a PGDM from IIM, Ahmedabad Professor P.V. Hariharan started his career with A.C.C. Ltd prior to joining IIM Ahmedabad.

A hard core Marketing professional, he pursued his managerial career handling both consumer products and industrial products in well-known organizations like Kohinoor Mills, Indian Plywood (Anchor) and the B.K. Birla group. He had a long association with the Birla group as Vice-President of two companies, Wood Craft Products Ltd. and Mangalam Timber Ltd. His areas of interest have been Strategic Management, Concept Selling, Event Management, Field-Force training and Services Marketing.

He has also been consulting, and teaching in leading B-Schools for over 14 years.

Dr.Latha Vijaybaskar

Visiting Professor - Business Communications

A professional and academic communication specialist, Dr Latha Vijaybaskar works at the intersection between employee engagement and organizational communication. Dr Latha Vijaybaskar has over a decade of academic experience teaching Organizational Behavior and Business Communication working as visiting faculty in both India and Dubai including Meenakshi Sunderrajan School of Management, ICFAI Dubai, S P Jain School of global management, Dubai campusand now at BIM Trichy

Currently Dr Latha Vijaybaskar is a leadership and communication coach, founder of Beyond Z Conversations and holds a PhD researching internal corporate communications.

V.G Sarangan

Visiting Professor - General Management

Professor V.G. Sarangan currently works in a technical private university and possesses an aggregate work experience of 32 years in various professional capacities in academic institutions as well as corporate business entities. He is a Commerce graduate with an MBA (Finance) from BIM Trichy He specializes in handling subjects of Business Law, Strategic HRM, Environmental Management, Business Communication, Business Ethics and Financial Reporting and Control; He has been associated with prestigious business schools like XLRI.

Prof. Rupa Saha

Visiting Professor - General Management

With 17 years of experience in the global IT arena, Rupa has played several roles ranging from core technology functions and portfolio management to leading pre-sales and srategic alliances and driving organisation-wide initiatives. She has been instrumental in building customer relationships and expanding portfolios as part of her responsibilities in Infosys and Spi Global. She has also managed key operations in organisations with people engagement, employee skill enhancements, DC operations and branding.

With her engagement with SAFIM, she takes her vision of transformative and compassionate society to the next level where she creates an urge in individuals and corporate to align themselves to their deeper purpose and functions in society.
